Medical Officer Forensic Pathology Vacancies Requirements:-
- Appropriate qualification (MBBCh / MBChB) that allows registration with the HPCSA as a MEDICAL PRACTITIONER and proof of current registration; Grade 1: No experience required after registration as MEDICAL PRACTITIONER with the HPCSA; Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience after registration with HPCSA as a MEDICAL PRACTITIONER; Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate experience after registration with HPCSA as a MEDICAL PRACTITIONER. Ability and willingness to perform duties outside of normal hours and away from base of employment when required, including overnight and weekend calls, with availability at the relevant Facility / scene within 30 – 45 minutes of the call being logged; A valid driver’s licence; Willingness to perform medico-legal death investigations, including performance of forensic autopsies; Willingness to give evidence in Courts; Computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint); Willingness to obtain the CMSA Dip For Med(SA) qualification within 1 year to 24 months; Good working knowledge of relevant FPS legislation; Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
